The Nepean Raiders Jr A Hockey Club is excited to announce a new initiative called Future Raider Sundays in which ALL current Nepean Minor Hockey Association (NMHA) players will be granted free access to all Jr A Raiders gamedays (with an accompanying paying adult) for the rest of the 2023/24 season if they come to the rink wearing their Raiders jerseys.
We understand how important it is for a junior hockey team to be active in the community, as several of our players are currently volunteer coaches with minor hockey teams across the city. However, we want to take this commitment to the next level by offering all NMHA players an up-close and personal view of what playing elite Tier-2 Jr A level hockey is like here in Nepean.
The Jr A Raiders team plays TWELVE MORE TIMES at 2:30pm on Sunday afternoons at the Nepean Sportsplex – Steve Yzerman Arena, and we want to see NMHA players there! In addition to watching high-level junior hockey for free, players will be encouraged to give the players fistbumps as they go out onto the ice, cheer loudly to support the Raiders, and pose for pictures with the team after the game if they wish.
We are also offering ONE VIP Raider Gameday Experience for each Sunday gameday for the rest of the season to any interested NMHA team, FREE OF CHARGE! This exclusive offer will include:
- The chance for the entire team to get a tour of the Jr A Raiders Dressing Room before the game, meeting the players and giving them fist bumps before they go out on the ice.
- One (or several) lucky players will get to announce the Raiders starting lineup to the team in the dressing room… but they better make sure to bring the energy!
- One lucky player will get to carry the Raiders flag out onto the ice before the players, and will stand on the blueline with the Raiders starting lineup during the national anthem.
- The entire team will be allowed back into the room after the game to take a picture with our team in the room, which will then be posted on the OFFICIAL Raiders social media!
