Our U18 House A Raiders team, the “Beasts of Barrhaven” had an amazing weekend of hockey in Shawville, Quebec and played outstanding hockey at the Pontiac Provincial Tournament (PPT). After last years result of finalists, it was great to return this year and come out on top!
The Roundrobin portion of the tournament had us play teams, from Shawville, QC, Fort-Colunge,QC, and Nepean (Team E), with the top two teams advancing to the Finals, we advanced after a 2-0-1 record.
The finals were against our newest rivals the “Pontiac Lions” (Shawville), and it was a hard fought game for both teams right till the end, leading 1-0 till the last minute, we didnt sense relief until an empty net goal was scored to seal the Championship.
Kudos to all the Beasts players and their parents for travelling on a snow-filled weekend, but also to the other Teams and the PPT Organizers for a well played weekend!!
