Congrats to the U12 AA Competitive team for their Tournament win!
The players battled through adversity losing a teammate in game 1 of the tournament but rallied around this setback and battled hard the entire weekend.
In the semi-finals they defeated a Whitby Wildcats team that beat the boys twice this season. The finals, against league rival Eastern Ontario Cobras was a hard fought game. The boys took their game to another level and killed off a 5 on 3 PK late in the game and early in overtime. Overtime didn’t settle anything and the boys were off to a shootout. After both teams went scoreless through the first three shooters we entered the sudden death shootout. Our first shooter in sudden death scored a highlight reel goal to put the Raiders in the lead.
With the championship within grasp the arena was silent as our goalie made an impressive second effort save to claim victory.
