NMHA Competitive Teams partner with Sport Science Rehab and Performance

The NMHA is very pleased to announce a new partnership between our competitive teams at the U13 to U18 levels with Sport Science Rehab and Performance. Sport Science is a leader in off-ice training in the Ottawa region combining the best in technology and equipment with its experienced staff of coaches coming from roles with professional teams from the NHL and beyond.

We are very much looking forward to having our players work with Sport Science on a weekly basis at their facilities on Baxter Road. Each team and athlete will receive a dedicated performance plan aimed at maximizing the players potential and limiting injury on the ice through hockey specific training off the ice. These programs include base line testing and re-testing using world class technology and techniques designed specifically for hockey players. The programs will also include nutritional sessions from an NHL performance dietician and a supplementary at home performance program.

We are very much looking forward to working with Sport Science and seeing the growth and gains translate into developing our players for improved performance while working to keep them healthier and limiting injury through the season!
