Team Fees
In addition to the registration fee, team fees cover the cost of tournament registration fees, goalie training, and other team expenses. Extra costs are solely at the discretion of the players’ parents.
House League teams can expect to pay between $350 and $400 per player. House League team fees are capped as per NMHA Rules, Duties & Regulations.
Competitive team fees range between $1,500 to $2,500 (Rep B, A/AA) per player. These costs are approximate and range by division.
Competitive Tryout Fees
U9-U10: $135
U11-U18: $185
The NMHA is offering the following competitive teams this season. Tryout ice and schedules will be communicated to participants in August of each season.
AAA and Junior Hopefuls
To guarantee registration with the NMHA if released, AAA and Junior hopefuls may register by paying a $25 non-refundable deposit. For more information on these programs visit Myers AAA and Nepean Junior A.
Help Paying for Hockey
There are several ways to obtain financial help with the financial costs of hockey:
KidSport Ottawa helps kids overcome social and economic barriers preventing or limiting their participation in organized sport. Please contact ottawakidsport.on.ca for all enquiries.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities was launched to address an issue of national concern, the inactivity of kids. National in scope, but local in its focus, Jumpstart helps kids in financial need participate in organized sports and physical activities by assisting with the costs associated with registration, equipment and/or transportation. Please consult the Jumpstart website for further information and instructions on applying for funding through either the regular Jumpstart program or The Big Play, a program focused on hockey.
