It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Barbara Thomas, mother of NMHA President, Helen Tyson.
Barbara lost her courageous journey with cancer on Saturday, September 3rd. During hockey season, Barbara was never happier than when at the rinks cheering on her grandsons, Owen and Dylan Crawford of the NMHA and Connor and Thomas Dunnigan of the West End Hockey League. Both Helen and her late sister Julie Dunnigan volunteered countless hours in both Nepean and West End, a work ethic instilled in them by Barbara who was extremely proud and supportive of her daughters’ determination, commitment and accomplishments. We send our collective sympathy to Helen, Owen and Dylan and to the Dunnigan family as they mourn the loss of their much-loved mum and Naina. She will be forever remembered and missed by many.
