The Raiders are the Best Kept Secret in Your Backyard and They Need Your Energy

The Raiders get set for the second round and they need your energy The Nepean Raiders Jr. A Hockey Club swept the first round defeating the Smith Falls Bears. However, there is a lot of work to be done to win the playoffs and entering the second round facing the 5 time CCHL champions; Pembroke Lumber Kings is no easy task. This is where you come in. Any player in the NMHA organization wearing their game jersey will get in for free to all Nepean Raiders Junior A playoff home games for the balance of the season. Accompanying parents, siblings and relatives will be charged 50% of the admittance fee.

Town Hall Meeting - Competitive Novice Proposal for 2012-2013

A proposal has been presented to the HEO Minor regarding the creation of a competitive league for Novice players in 2012-2013. However, the NMHA stresses that this is still a proposal and as of today, there has been no decision taken that there will be a league next year.

The purpose of the meeting to determine if there is acceptance of the membership of the NMHA to field teams in this league and to provide information on how the NMHA would operate the teams, should there be acceptance from NMHA members and approval to proceed from the HEO Minor.

NMHA Alumni Carrozzi Named ECHL Goaltender of the Month

NMHA graduate Chris Carrozzi has been named the ECHL goaltender of the month for January 2012. Carrozzi, drafted by Atlanta (now Winnipeg) in 2008, plays for the Ontario Reign in the East Coast Hockey League. He posted a was 6-0-1 record with two shutouts, a 1.26 goals-against average and a .954 save percentage during the month, extending his personal unbeaten streak to 10 games (8-0-2).

Support the Nepean Raiders Junior A Hockey Team This Sunday

Coaches and Parents, with the playoffs just around the corner, the Raiders are playing exciting hockey. This Sunday Feb.05 @ 2:30 PM at the Nepean Sportsplex Yzerman Arena the Nepean Raiders play the Carleton Place Canadians. This could be the preview of the league championship.

All NMHA players wearing their jerseys will get in for free. Parents and siblings are half price. The crowd and noise will energize our players and will provide for some great hockey. NMHA players, come to the locker room and say hi to the players!

EOJHL All Star Games at the Walter Baker Sports Centre in Barrhaven on Feb 11 2011

On February 11, 2012, the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League will be hosting the Metro / Valley all star games at the Walter Baker Centre in Barrhaven. The prospects game starts at 2:15 PM on Rink A, while the veterans game will be at 2:45 PM on Rink B. Tickets will be $10 at the door.

Raiders Major Bantam AA Food Drive for the Barrhaven Food Cupboard

The Major Bantam AA team did an outstanding job and did the NMHA very proud with the work they accomplished going door to door in the Half Moon Bay area for the Barrhaven Food Cupboard. The coaching staff and parents are very proud of the young men that volunteered their Friday evening for such a great cause. They were very courteous and polite young men who were very appreciative at every home they visited.
