The Nepean Minor Hockey Association was created in 1965 and its first President, Keith Duke, suggested the name “Raiders” for all of its teams, in honour of his hometown Wexford Raiders. The logo and team names have undergone a number of changes in the past 52 years.
The NMHA is looking for a brand identifier to represent Nepean to the hockey world and is launching a contest to find a new logo.
The chosen logo will be used by all Nepean Minor Hockey Association teams.
The proposed logo could incorporate a hometown Nepean, Ontario theme. Or, it could be something completely new that highlights the strong hockey tradition in Nepean.
The process is described in an information sheet and the entry form is enclosed here.
