Today, the NMHA received more details on the Province of Ontario’s modified stage-two restrictions being imposed on the City of Ottawa.
Regrettably, these restrictions make it unsustainable for the association to continue its programming.
As such, effective 12:01 am Thursday October 15, the NMHA is pausing all of its programming for the duration of the emergency order that was issued last week by the Province. If and when programming resumes, we anticipate the current format will continue where we left off.
As this is an on-going development, the Board needs time to assess the financial impact and will provide further communication about this topic at a later date.
We know this is very disheartening news for many of our members and kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we actively navigate the next steps. We look forward to welcoming the players back on the ice as soon as it is safe and feasible.
